Journey to the Sea of Cortez and Whale Sharks

This criusing expedition sets you on a voyage of discovery into the natural history of the Sea of Cortez and into the world of whale shark research. What better way to experience the importance of conservation then through the work of a scientist whose life has been dedicated to saving our oceans. Dr. Deni Ramirez Macias is a passionate, world renowned whale shark expert and will be co-leading the expedition with marine naturalist, Lela Sankeralli.The wonderful part of this trip is that you don't have to be an extreme snorkeler or have huge experience in aquatic sports. The whale sharks are found feeding or moving through the water at a relaxed pace. Not any part of it is dangerous. All you need for experience is to be able to snorkel comfortably and confidently. Anticipate snorkeling, kayaking and hiking when the research (4 - 6 hours per day) is not being done.
