Travel into the protected waters of Resurrection Bay in search of gray whale on their annual migration through Alaskan waters. Gray whales migrate over 5,000 miles from Baja, California to the Bering and Chukchi Seas each year in search of food. They begin their migration north in late February and travel through Alaskan waters in the spring. In addition to gray whales, watch for humpback whales, orca whales, Steller sea lions, sea otters, Dall's porpoises, harbor seals, bald eagles, and many other types of marine birds.
