The winter carnival is a delight for outdoor enthusiasts with the ice sculptures, cross country skiing, ice-skating, and party atmosphere. Throughout the old city, you'll find parades and activities similar to Mardi Gras in New Orleans. There are food stands selling Quebec foods and “Caribou” the drink of the carnival. Perhaps you will want to go cross-country skiing, take a toboggan ride, enjoy the ice sculptures, or have a snowball fight. You might want to take a tour of Parliament, or wander the shops of the old city. Optional excursions for snow rafting or a day of skiing. Visit St. Ann de Beaupre and Montmorency Falls and tour part of the city for those interested in sightseeing.
