3-Day Forest Adventure Tour: Lake Ride and Mountain Crossing Forest Hike

Enjoy a 2.5-day loop tour starting from Santa Elena and going over Lake Arenal to end in a "wild" hike through the forests and mountains of the Monte Verde portion of the Continental Divide of Costa Rica. Learn about the plants, animals and people who live in the forest from your experienced naturalist guide. Visit two subsistence farms on the way for food, rest and lodging. Besides hiking on narrow wilderness paths through the mountains and crossing over 21 streams and rivers, you will also travel in a van on a gravel road, by boat on a lake, and by horse on country roads.
